The Kiwanis Club of West Hartford is one of more than 8,000 global Kiwanis Clubs located in over 90 nations. The primary focus of Kiwanis is improving the lives of children in our community and throughout the world one child and one community at a time.
Locally, in the past few years since our recharter in 2004, our club has helped over 150 children with varying disabilities learn to ride their own two-wheeler, awarded several scholarships including our Foundation's annual scholarship, trained as a Community Emergency Response Team, collected food for the West Hartford Food Pantry, collected thousands of books for Charter Oak Academy and other nonprofit organizations, donated hundreds of newborn baby kits, given away nearly 100 bicycle helmets and many times more peanuts at the Park Road Parade and other events. We've done so much but there is more to be done. How can you help?
